My 2013 Wishlist

Do you make wishlists or goals for the new year? I usually don't, but I could resist for this year.

My number one goal is to keep my lys stocked with bags. I'm working on a large set of bags now for them now and plan on keeping up from now on. There's nothing like walking in the door and seeing my little bag section looking all picked over with barely anything left :(

Knit more and keep up with my spinning!! I've added all of my stash and knitting books to Ravelry. Now I have everything in one place and can search for patterns based on what yarn I already have and what is in my library. I love this feature!! Seriously!! I can search all of my patterns from all of my books without having to open any of them. I will also spend less time oogling over all the things I want to knit and actually knit them =P

Yarn Stash:
A little peak at my stash in case you can't see it from the link :)

Just a glimpse of all my books...

When I left my corporate job two years ago, I had visions of my husband and I covered in hand knits and a house filled with quilts and pretty handmade items. haha!!! That has yet to happen =P I will try to change that. We just bought a new couch, chair and ottoman. What more inspiration do I need to repaint the living room and fill it will lovely things made by me? I think I'll be using A Lovely Year of Finishes to accomplish this :)

Speaking of painting, I also want to paint the third floor. It's a dark green and it's too dark. I'm going to go with a light gray.

I think that's it. I could say that I'm going to sew myself some clothes, but let's not get too crazy :) I could also say that I'm going to clean less, but I don't think that is something I'm capable of.

Ohhh I do have one more thing on my wishlist. I'm saving my pennies for a new sewing machine. I realize that my machine is only about a year and a half old, but I really want something with a stronger motor. I would also like a machine that doesn't skip stitches when it feels like it and that quilts really nicely.

Ok. That may not seem like much of a wishlist, but it's a start :) Do you have any big wishes for the new year?

  1. oh my goodness!! Wow! You have a lot to keep yourself motivated!! Love how you have organized it! I think grey walls sound much better than dark green. Can't wait to see what new machine you buy!

  2. My big aim for the year is to be productive but not pressure myself about what I get done. I would like to decorate my house a bit more too. Having an aim is the first step...

  3. We desperately need a new couch and it is on the top of our list. Like you that will bring out the desire to paint those walls anew. I like January simply for the fact that it brings on the desire to get things done. What happens after is a mystery. :)
