My Honey Cowl:

I wish you could feel how squishy soft this is!!!! I LOVE it =D I have my yarn and needle details on my Ravelry project page, if you are interested.
The Honey Cowl is definitely a watching tv or chatty knit night kind of project. If you're not doing something else at the same time, it's kind of boring =P
Would you like to see something that I'm not so in love with?

I can't seem to get this off my wheel fast enough. I had a really really hard time spinning this fiber. The first bobbin is a mess and I'm sooo not happy about it. The second bobbin turned out better, but the plied yarn is ummmm....interesting. I'm thinking felted bowls and coasters haha!!
Lesson learned. I'll stop the next time this happens and just accept the fact that I need more practice before I try spinning certain fibers :)
I won't be doing a mid month check in today with A Lovely Year of Finishes. I haven't even started working on my bag yet. Ack!! The only excuse I have is this...
My messy sewing area :)
Wow! My ipad screen sure is dirty...

Your Honey Cowl is so pretty! I like the yarn that youre not sure about, the colours are lovely. A messy workroom means you've been productive doing other things..
ReplyDeleteUmmmmm, gorgeous cowl....I'm off to see your project page, m'dear! And I, too, love your yarn a lot! I wish I could get into my sewing area again....it's nice to focus on pretty things! :)
ReplyDeleteThe cowl looks so soft and cuddly - post a selfie! :D I'm looking forward to seeing the sockies completed - put them on with the cowl, lol! I don't know anything about spinning, but the fiber looks lovely and colourful to me (and your tablet screen looks exactly like mine, LOL) :)
ReplyDeleteI like your yarn.. =) It has a Fall look to it lol
ReplyDeleteOh you reminded me of the Lovely Finishes! Mine is done , will have to get it posted now lol...
OHH PLEASE!!! that is NOT a messy table lol even your messes are neat! HAHA
Oh I miss my ipad =(
OH I love your Honey Cowl !!!! looks warm!!!
DeleteHave you taken the yarn off the bobbin yet? In my experience, yarn can look pretty crappy while it's still on the wheel and often looks better when you skein it up.
